I mentioned Eather Ellen Buchanan (nee Culla) in an earlier post about the death of her husband,
William Buchanan, and I was so excited when I found their gravestone during a lunch break wander through
Sandgate cemetery that it was on
Twitter straight away.

Ellen outlived her husband by 42 years, remaining a widow until her death. And despite moving to
West Ryde, she returned to
Sandgate to be buried with her husband after the funeral in
West Ryde Baptist Church. Here are the death and funeral notices that I found on
Trove.
